Acabou agora há pouco a prova do Skiing Cross-country 50km para homens, penúltima competição dos Jogos Olímpicos de Vancouver 2010. O norueguês Petter Northug venceu com o tempo de 2h05min35s5. Em seguida, o alemão Axel Teichmann completou com apenas 0.3s atrás do vencedor. O suéco Johan Olsson completou o pódio com um segundo de diferença.
Northug já era campeão mundial da mesma categoria e agora se consagrou campeão olímpico. Ele já tinha um ouro no Sprint estilo livre por equipe, uma prata no revezamento 4x10km clássico e um bronze no Sprint estilo clássico individual.
As medalhas serão entregues durante a cerimônia de encerramento dos jogos, mais à noite.
